The Government General Degree College Salboni is situated in Koyma, Bhimpur a village of Salboni Block. Fertile soil on both sides of the Midnapore-Lalgarh road has earned for it an enviable position in agriculture production. Also as the name ‘Salboni’ suggests the forest of Sal, Segun, Mahua enrich the beauty of the sight. Salboni is a town with a police station in Medinipur Sadar subdivision of Paschim Medinipur district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
